Top/driving/sport with carbon

Beautiful road athlete: The Porsche model inspired by racing receives from the Friedrich Performance Manufaktur individual add-on parts made of carbon. This gives passionate Porsche drivers the edge in terms of performance, sound and design clearly stand out from the crowd and ensure an individual appearance on the road.

Performance, comfort and design

Even in the standard version, the Zuffenhausen-based company Porsche attaches great importance to these components perfectly with each other. But many drivers:inside demand a measure of individuality, that is not available on the vehicle manufacturers' shelves. The employees of the Friedrich Performance Manufaktur from the north of Bavaria have therefore specializes in upgrading high-end sports cars. Barely on the road, the 992 GT3 receives an eye-catching carbon update, which Porsche immediately upgrades aesthetically: emotion and passion for the owner:inside.

Better optics & more power:

In addition to the appearance is also drastically screwed to the performance: The optimized exhaust system with rear silencer on series, which is supplied with EC type approval but also the specially developed racing exhaust system with high-performance fan manifolds, particulate filter and catalytic converter replacement pipes and a flap rear silencer, change the performance character and sound of the GT3 quite individually. The standard engine power is increased by almost 23kW.

Those who decide to replace the exhaust system can additionally individualize it with various carbon tailpipes. There is also the option of having various components wrapped with Thermo-Integral insulation. A silver foil and a foil with a 999 fine gold coating alloy are available.

The individualized 992 GT3 in brief:

On the road and on the racetrack, the modifications by Friedrich Performance Manufaktur are clearly noticeable. With the specially tuned exhaust system, the GT3 comes a little closer to its motorsport roots. The harmonious carbon package has the GT3 community asking, "Why not factory?" Emphasis was placed on a harmonious design, but one that does not change the character of the GT3.

The interview

Tobias Sühlsen, developer of vehicle refinements - made by Friedrich-PM:
In this interview, tuning specialist Tobias Sühlsen explains first-hand what new carbon parts are available for the new Porsche Sport GT3 model - and his experiences in the world of top-class sports cars:

Mr. Sühlsen, the Porsche 992 GT3 is brand new-and you want to and can already fit it with carbon parts?
Tobias Sühlsen: That's right. The GT3 has only been on the market for a short time. But our company immediately set about analyzing all the molds and parts. This allowed us to evaluate where carbon parts developed specifically for the GT3 would ensure that the sports car could be uniquely enhanced with carbon. The result is a toolbox of carbon parts that make the hearts of Porsche drivers beat faster because of the increased "show-off" effect.

Can you name the parts where the GT3 can be upgraded with carbon?
Tobias Sühlsen: These include the front lip, the front apron and the complete hood. But also the front bumper, the side skirts, the rear skirt, the rear diffuser, the rear spoiler, the underbody protection, the engine compartment cover and the fins and mirror caps are included. If I were driving this vehicle myself, I would definitely purchase the set.

How do you go about fitting it - and does anything change in terms of the vehicle's roadworthiness? In other words, is it necessary to go to the TÜV again?
Tobias Sühlsen: All carbon parts receive a parts certificate with which the customer - for example in Germany in accordance with § 19.3 - can have the attachments registered with the TÜV or a comparable provider. As a rule, this is a formality.

Does everything have to be changed in one step, or can you approach it via initial carbon parts - and then further expand the fairings if desired?
Tobias Sühlsen: We have customers who want to see a wide variety of parts made of carbon instead of plastic. Which ones, is always decided according to the respective taste. We create the sum of all the parts we offer in the way we find most coherent overall. However, it is always the customer's decision what and how much is individually pleasing. For example, if customers only want the front lip and the rear muffler in carbon, that's fine too. We are happy to advise and do not impose anything on anyone. The customer is always the decision-maker.

How many years of experience does your company bring to the table in the field of optical upgrading with carbon parts?
Tobias Sühlsen: We have now been successful on the market for 29 years and bring with us a maximum of experience with top-class sports cars. With our tuning expertise, we ensure that customers trust us for many years and are always happy to come back to us with their "new" car. One can also clearly speak of "regular customers" here.

What are the prices for Porsche tuning? Can a general statement be made here?
Tobias Sühlsen: Of course, the prices are always individual. But in principle, it can be said that our customers invest a not inconsiderable part of the value of their vehicle once again in the carbon trim and the performance enhancement. A look at our online store will be helpful to one or the other right away.

Are there limits to the carbon cladding of a Porsche?
Tobias Sühlsen: Of course, the color and model for a carbon fairing should always match. Not every vehicle - and especially every color - lends itself to the same carbon parts for visual enhancement. Here, too, individuality is always required. And this is exactly where our customers benefit from our experience. We would advise against a recommendation if we did not think it was the best choice, but without patronizing the customer. We see ourselves here as accompanying consultants.

What else goes beyond the visual upgrade when tuning the new GT3?
Tobias Sühlsen: It's not just the look, but of course also the performance that counts for Porsche drivers when they want to individualize their vehicle. So we get massive performance enhancements with a significantly increased horsepower figure out of the vehicle. This means that our customers are on the road with a power package that has never been experienced before in "conventional" Porsches. Whether it's tuning the exhaust systems or, in some cases, chip tuning, we tackle many areas to give the GT3 a level of power that makes even this latest model stand out from the crowd.

How large is the circle of interested parties and, not least, customers for Porsche tuning?
Tobias Sühlsen: Our customer base extends far beyond Germany. Throughout Europe and around the world, Porsche tuning attracts customers who want to live their passion for top-class sports cars.

How does this work in practice over long distances?
Tobias Sühlsen: Quite simply, not every customer has to come to us with their car. Instead, customers order our carbon trim from their local tuning store, which we then supply accordingly. With installation instructions "in the bag", the parts can then be installed on site in the customer's vicinity. Our customers have had the best experience with this, because they are supported by a competent network of specialist companies.

May we ask about your biggest or most important customer?
Tobias Sühlsen: We keep a low profile, of course, because our customers trust us absolutely when it comes to discretion. And we want to be understood as a trustworthy partner of passionate Porsche drivers at home and abroad.

How can the many interested parties satisfy their interest already now?
Tobias Sühlsen: Good question. We do photo shoots almost every day, shoot films out in Franconian Switzerland and pass on a lot of information to the press for publication. Of course, you can also find us on the Internet as well as on Facebook and Instagram. It would be downright negligent not to do so [laughs].

Mr. Sühlsen, thank you for the information about the carbon fairings and tuning for the new Porsche 992 GT3 and we wish you good luck and success with the customers.
